07 / FAQ

Anything else worth asking.

F.01 What is Medicare Advantage? +
Medicare Advantage (Part C) is an alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. These plans include all your Part A and Part B benefits, and most include prescription drug coverage (Part D) plus extra benefits like dental, vision, and hearing.
F.02 How much do Medicare Advantage plans cost? +
Costs vary by plan and location. Many Medicare beneficiaries qualify for low- or no-premium Medicare Advantage plans, but availability varies by county. You must be enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B. Call us and an agent will help you compare the plans and costs available in your ZIP code.
F.03 Can I keep my current doctors? +
Most plans have large provider networks, and our agents will verify that your preferred doctors and hospitals are in-network before recommending a plan. Some plans also offer out-of-network coverage at a higher cost. We always check your doctors and prescriptions before suggesting any plan.
F.04 When can I enroll or switch plans? +
The Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) runs from October 15 – December 7 each year. The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP) runs January 1 – March 31. You may also qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) due to life changes like moving, losing coverage, or qualifying for Medicaid. Call us to find out if you're eligible to enroll now.
